Personally, I use the G-maxx skids. I like them because they are light and strong, but as mentioned already, they do not provide any "bumper" effect. I don't run bumpers on my trucks, either and haven't had any breakage problems. I don't see any concrete curbs, though, so perhaps your needs are a little different! JuJu gave good advise to use titanium skids, as they have spring-like properties that help them act similar to a bumper while being very durable. the rpm skids are also a great addition, as they provide a nice, tough base. Titanium skids and rpm wear plates should keep you pretty well protected.
