Are you charging lipo or a123? Because I believe that it can do 2s lipo unbalanced and 10s a123 unbalanced. Also, is it one 12s pack or two 6s packs? Snellemin can chime in (because I'm not 100%), but I think you can balance up to nine 8s packs in series.
The powerlab 8 is the best / fastest charger for balancing that I have ever used....
