what module and receiver or M8 - 06.17.2012, 12:21 AM

I'm getting a new M8 but it does not come with a module and receiver. I just purchased a 27mhz synthesized module just to hold me off till I can afford the radiopost set up. My question, what receiver would work with it? any airtronics 27mhz or any 27mhz receiver as long as I get the right crystal to hook up with the module.

And another question, what other 2.4ghz module would work with a m8. I know a older spektrum version willand the radiopost will too. But, could a futaba?
also, would this work to convert the module to run a ko propo module and reciever?

I know a few brands that make ko propo 2.4ghz modules and receivers and they are on the cheaper side.

Thank you all in advice for the help!

I think you can use any 27mhz Rx, but you have to use an Airtronics crystal. Modules have to be specifically for the M8, M11 has a different number of pins and anything. It airy tonics isnt going to work. Spektrum modules will work but you might want to see if there's anything on HobbyKing or Hobbyparts as far as modules.

I've been looking for modules on hobbyking and hobbypartz they just have futaba, jr and spektrum. They have some ko propo so thats why I liked the idea of the converter they offered for the 3pk and m8 to run the ko propo 2.4ghz setup.
