Guess I need some new tires. Any recommendations? - 07.19.2012, 10:13 PM

Decided to try 6s in my RC8TCE. Didn't go to well. Ran for all of 30 seconds before the front tires blew up. I thought I had taped them, but I've had them for years so I guess I was just wrong.

Anyway. I'd like to get some tires that are good for both pavement and dirt/grass. Pure bashing. Don't need to be huge, but would like them to be larger than racing truggy tires.

The new set will be fiberglass taped. That is the best thing to do right?

I've always liked bowties for bashing... great in the grass and dirt, and can take a bit of pavement running.

I love me the badlands! Not the extra size you're looking for. They are awesome on dirt, sand, grass, loose dirt, gravel. Work well enough on pavement, can wear quickly if you spin them a lot though (what tire doesn't?)

I'm mostly on pavement so I think I'd kill bandlands. As for the bowties, do they come in monster truck size?

Just looked, it appears that they don't make the bowties anymore. If you run mostly on pavement, then street tires may be a better choice.

On a 3DS, cool. So by cheap do you mean wear out fast?

About the only thing of integy that I use Here they are mounted on tech5 wheels

You'll notice the back wheel is nearing bald 'cause I've been attempting to drift around the street.

pinkpanda3310 what kind of car is that, had to ask? Could you post better pics? From above please Looks like a strong basher! What motor and esc do you use?

On topic I would buy badlands again after trying those on my e truggy now. I've heard they do good on the street too, not that I plan on testing. Using care when cleaning, taping and glueing the tires is a must. Tape two layers of duct-tape or similar.

I have the cars that I really wanted before I got them ;-)

I was in the middle of processing a vid of the car with those tires (integy) on the street when my editing program spazz'd out Looks like it will be a while before I can make another vid

What did end up getting Bmr4life?
