Is rollout truly important? - 07.30.2012, 09:30 AM

Getting a 1:1 specifically. One motor rev per inch of travel of the car. I'm pretty sure that ratio goes out the window when you put a overly powerful motor into a vehicle (which is what most of us here do). Example being a CC 1717 1580kv motor. In just about every vehicle you put it in, a rollout of 2:1 or higher is probably just fine.

Just curious if anyone uses this as a gauge or is it just a number that's nice to know, but means very little?
