yes what you listed is impt to keep components cool and to obtain desired speed. RPM does play into the efficiency of the setup. Correct gearing/motor choice will lead to a cooler running setup as well.
If you can obtain a cool running setup with a lower RPM, then you get the most run time out of your system... which is what I strive for in all my rigs.
