Hi guys, sorry this thread didn't live up to your expectations So here are jumbled thoughts I felt like sharing instead

I have had a brake from the hobby and sold off a couple of 1/8 e-buggies. One RCM converted LRP s8bx-e buggy rtr with MMPro/Losi 1700kv/5s 40C 5ah battery/Spektrum DX3.0, and one hyper 8,5pro roller with 20mm bigbores, 3x spider-diffs and RCM mount etc. The guy that bought the RTR was new to rc, he only had a couple of onroad nitros many years ago.

When he tried the buggy he was on fire with joy, when I sell rc's I make them as good as possible for the buyers budget. I think I addicted another guy on e-buggies and RC, which is great! We need more people here to get together and demand an indoor offroad track, because I live in a city known for its many rainy days. I hate driving in the rain. Even if I waterproof things the car gets dirty as hell, so this "season" I barely did any driving. Not fun.

I know there have been "hushed talk" of making an outdoor 1/8 track right where I live. The town has just made two new skateboard parks and these small football/basket/handball courts pop up everywhere. I bet there are more RC car people than skate-kids in my town. We must unite and get our deserved indoor track. I wish they would make an 1/8 offroad track, that can be used for 1/10 too. Or the other way around

Knowing my rtr buggy customer, he isn't very carefull to put it like that, I gave him a 4s 30C 3300mah to try first, thank god(or just me) for that! Of course he did a classic beginners full throttle wall-crash right away, but despite the car and wall's physics and the loud bang, the buggy was whole, except for one minor crack in the left front wheel. I had a pair of old wheels with similar thread, so I mounted them on the front arms.

Next time he got to try his intended 5s 40C pack, and I loved watching knowing that I created the best car for my friend. He liked it so much he bought my hyper 8,5pro roller too. I hope he gets into rc more, its a great hobby Now that was a little off-topic I guess, but whatever. The night is long, and my thoughts wander. Music helps.

After this I will try to make the thread into what you hoped

I have the cars that I really wanted before I got them ;-)

Here are some build pics, sorry for the wait. The body is, as you can see, only just painted. You can see my chosen color is dark blue. I sprayed it good with black first, then the blue. Strange color yellow for stock body, white/gray/beige would suit most colors on top.....

As you can see I have a basic rc4wd 65turn motor, cheapo outcry crawler esc w "turbo-bec", and 3s 5000mah lipo. May try 4s too. The esc is waterproof but has no lipo cut-off, so I need buy a separate one for running my lipo near the limit. I am using a 3ch fly-sky computer radio to control this, and it works well with easy gear change on 3rd channel

I was sceptical about the 65t motor, I thought it would be to slow. It was just perfect IMO, thats slooow in first, and "get around speed on 2nd gear". These high turn motors produse some serious torque!
