RX8 set up questions.. - 08.24.2012, 02:11 PM

Ok first time setting up one of these and want you all to take a look at my settings and see what you think..I am using 4S w/a 1900 T8

my settings are..

1. brakes strength............52
2. push control.................46
3. brake minimum............8
4. neutral width................20
5. current limit..................47
6. Throttle minimum.........9
7. timing...........................5
8. timing profile.................C1

Any suggestions would be great as I just kinda guessed on some of these as I am used to using CC esc.

Thanks

MAGMAN, just from memory what my settings are. I run a 1512 3D 1700kv on 6s G3.

1. brakes strength............52 Good
2. push control.................46 I use 0 push
3. brake minimum............8 Good
4. neutral width................20 ~8
5. current limit..................47 I use 100%
6. Throttle minimum.........9 1 (one)
7. timing...........................5 1 (one)
8. timing profile.................C1 na

Any suggestions would be great as I just kinda guessed on some of these as I am used to using CC esc.

If you can, run the esc with the wires facing back and the fan not installed as the heatsink will get the most airflow this way. I love my rx8, I have had it for 3 years now and still running strong and cool.

Thanks

Readjusted settings, calibrated and all set to go for tomorrow!! I wish I could change over all of my rigs to a Tekin set up...just way too much $ for that.

My guess you are running this in a Mugen?

Took the buggy for one battery pack test and all went well in the plot. Wow.....even on 4s its fast. Brakes are a little touchy...need to soften a bit but other than that..me likey!!

Cool. It's a good esc for sure.

I hope so....a lot more fine tuning available vs on the CC controllers.
