Thanks magman, I am regretting selling my spare MMM now...but surprisingly the little MMpro is doing OK for now! Yes new shocks are close to the top of the list of things still needed as well.

Any suggestions on some decent shocks? I need to measure these stock ones, but I'll bet some 1/8 buggy fronts would work. It seems though, that since the shock goes through the a-arms that there is a limited selection of big bores to choose from, maybe I'm wrong?

I'll get to researching, as I'm sure this has been addressed a million times already by now

That MMPro has got to go! Unless you are geared super low (35mph or less) that is too much load.

Ofna front buggy shocks are the most popular 4 shock upgrade.

Traxxas "Big Bore" shocks work well, all 8 for about $65.

My main concern would be diffs and tranny gears, that power will rip through them in no time.

Thanks for sharing your G-Maxx. I love me some Maxx trucks!
