Dog Bone help - 07.07.2012, 03:30 AM

I've got a center diff project I'm working on and I'm stuck on getting the correct dog bones for my application

From what I've measured and re-measured I need a 105mm and a 100mm dog bone. I've been hesitant to order anything yet because I'm measuring PIN TO PIN, but i know some measure end to end.

If anyone can help or measure some dog bones for me that would be great!

Well if it had more than 3 dog bone measurements maybe. That's the first place I looked also

Is it possible to use a cv? lst centre cv's run close to those measurements. Plus they also fit AE cv cups. The lst cups fit an 8mm pinion and the AE I think are 5mm?? The AE cups also add a couple of mm of length to the overall.

Who do we contact to add lengths to the database? I'm willing to measure my mugen mbx5 and mbx5t. As well as my crt. 5 and ofna hyper 10tt.

I'm still looking for dog bones or cvds in the correct length. I'm not sure what's going to be better, Using dog bones from center diff to f/r diff or to try and find cvds? Having a hard time trying to find stuff that will work.

Hesitant to order anything because I know some mfg measure end to end and others pin to pin.

That would be Mr 'BrianG'. Though the dimension page has not really taken off since he added it and if you read through there seems to be a lot of variance in cv's so he does not input that data.

I picked up a JQ Products "The Car" dogbone that is 104mm pin to pin for my Jammin GT so I could use the RCM center spool. They don't have any 100mm though, next shorter to the 104mm is 90mm.

They have it in a few different colors besides black also.
