Looks interesting, but more of a novelty to me. Just like they said it doesn't look like it will save any weight. I kinda like the simplicity of cycles- occassional maintenance, ride it. I have enough batteries to worry about with rc's and flashlights.

I got hit by a car today while riding my bike. I was doing between 18 & 20 mph, when this 60 plus year old lady tuned in FR of me, when i had the right of way (green light). She stopped about 15 yards or so away, got out of her car mumbling something looked at her car. She then got back in her car & drove away. But don't worry the Bike is okay. My brake handles were crooked & my SIDI'S were scuffed up & my bar tape was ripped.

Sorry to hear it Hippie. It's a constant worry, especially for roadies. I hope you got the license plate number.

Yes it is. I got the plate number & other photos. when i passed by the accident spot 45 minutes latter & her car was still there. I forgot i had a camera phone when the accident happened, but remembered latter. I talked to the police just a little bit ago. He told me to call them tomorrow, when i am back in Dunedin were it happened. Which is no problem because i pass the spot were it happened on the way to work. I will keep you updated.
