well no feelings were meant to be hurt, by any means! My knowledge on what a Typhoon is, was very limited, as I've never paid much attention to GMs, so I guess I chose poorly on my wording, haha! Now that I know a little more though, it seems your analogy is spot on!

You are very correct on the window. Before I started, I was expecting that I was gonna have to frame the sides in for a door, but whoever built my garage, definitely did me a favor. The window not only had a header (as expected), but it was also framed in clear down to the floor, perfect for a door! So all I had to do was remove the window, cut the section of wall out from underneath of it, and then pop the door in! Of course it took more work than that, as I had to pull almost all of the siding off on the outside, lol, but you get the point.

Thanks! I love my RR! Currently collecting all the parts I need to swap the front forks out for an 07 inverted setup

My feelings weren't hurt, it's all good.

Here is a picture. They made roughly 5000 of these trucks between 1992 and 1993.

Very clean looking, Nick! Nice!

Kind of a sleeper actually. One wouldn't expect that thing to pull an 11 sec 1/4. Would be fun to drive around and surprise people with

You got that right Travis. Most people have no idea what it is. Sometimes people look around like, what's making that turbo noise? They can't even tell it coming from my truck.

It's coming. That will be the next motor going in this truck. It's actually not running right now, waiting to be put back together after a cam swap. I've been thinking of getting it running, making a few passes then rip it all apart again and part out the engine, turbo, computer, transmission. Then put a mostly stock 5.3 or 6.0L LS with a single turbo in it. I think I could sell all the V6 stuff and 700R4 parts and put a LS single turbo in it for almost the same money.

We will see how things go, maybe next year. Everyone likes 600-700hp on pump gas right??

I keep looking at 98-02 camaros/trans ams. With t-tops or a convertible I think I could get in one using my patient lift.(and help) Then I'd just need hand controls, which is no biggie. I've seen some go for $5k or less.

I feel your love for the LS power plants.

Nice do it up Harold. I'm sure you've seen the many build threads like I have with junk yard motors and single turbos making stupid power. Hot Rod Magazine did one recently with what they thought was a 5.3L and it ended up being a 4.8L it think it made 1200hp.

Here is the link.

Thanks for the link, that was a great read. I'm going on craigslist now to look at camaros!

Yes the truck came stock with drum brakes in 1992. When the truck gets back up and running again it will have new disc brakes all around from a C6 Z51 Corvette.

It would be moderately terrifying trying to pull that thing up with front discs the size of washers & rear drums. Totally understand why you'd want to actually stop using the C6 option
