Just wanted to update this thread a little bit and add to the action lately.

I haven't had much time to spend with any of my RC vehicles lately, but over the last week I started getting this one up and running again.

This truggy has very little run time so far. I put a old battery in it and it fired right up the first time and it was all going good until one of the pins that holds the rear hub into place came loose. I have been having a problem getting these pins to stay in place since it was built.

Here is a picture. Please let me know if I'm referring to any of these parts by the wrong name.

I thought I could find a metal spring clip to go around this and hold the pin into place. I ended up using a rubber gasket / seal that I had laying around the house.

Your fix should work well, Nick. Making a small flat on the cross pin where the setscrew engages it is a common fix for this issue as well(along with locktite on the setscrew of course).

What MMike said, you can also use some heat shrink to hold the pin in as you did with the O ring. If there is a clearance issue, which there most likely is not. The flat on the pin and Loctite on the setscrew is the way to go.

Thanks for the replies guys. Im not sure what setscrew you are refering to? The pin holds the hub, the part the wheel screws onto, in place there is nothing else holding it onto the driveshaft.

Maybe I am missing something. My D8T has a different design than this one and I think that one has a setscrew in it.

there should be a set screw in the center of the hub... same as the d8t.

I looked at this last night and from what I can see there is no set screw. I will pull out the owners manual/ instructions to see if Im missing those screws.

Yep, looks like there should be a 4x4mm setscrew holding the pin...

Ok I found the set screws. I put them in first before the pin went into the shaft. I put them in correctly and it all seems to be tight.

Took it out for a test run in front of my house and drove it for 10-15 minutes before it cartwheeled down the street and landed on its wheels and drove back. Drove it a little more before noticing the front end is a little loose. It was a lot of fun driving it while it lasted. It's been over a year since I've driven a RC.

Im about to take it apart to see what is broken.

Figured I would update this thread a little. I got the truggy back up and running. Luckily I just lost a screw and that's what was causing the loose suspension in the front.

Now I need to replace two of the metal collars that are on the bottom on the front arms that keep the front hubs in place. They keep on coming loose on me since I don't have the right parts now. I'll have to order those and go from there.

From pic 11 I'm missing BB5.

Right now A-Main Hobbies shows 1pk still in stock. I'm going to try and order it but just wondering if there was another more readily available part out there.

Edit: I did order this part from A-Main now it does not come up on their website.

Or if you want to buy from a shop, losipartshouse, towerhobbies, rc-mart etc?

The new amain site sucks imo, I loved the old style.
