Yeah, they used to have a Mamba Monster case/fan combo they sold for about $15, but it seems to be discontinued now. You might be able to find some old stock somewhere.

Normally that would not have been a problem, I've sent in 2 MMMs to be repaired/replaced (at the flat price of $75). I opened up the Castle non-warranty repair form and found the prices had increased.

Now a Mamba Monster is $130 to replace (up from $75). The MMP I wanted to have looked at would have been $98. A brand new MMP on Amazon with 2 day shipping is $106...

This makes me really sad, since the great repair prices were a huge factor in my purchasing decisions. I'm sure there is a reason for the price increase, and I would understand a smaller increase. I just don't see any value for the consumer anymore to save $8 (minus your shipping cost, so basically nothing).

The one year warranty is still a good value, which I appreciate. The initial price is also still a good value. These are two reasons I will continue to support Castle, and why I have already ordered a new MMP to replace my damaged one.

Hey guys -- be aware I'm working this issue, and should have something to add to the discussion soon.

Thanx!

Patrick

Also why were all the repair kits discontinued? the motors are still in production, so if a rotor goes we buy a new motor?

Thank you all for taking the time to post your thoughts and give feedback on our recent price changes for "Tier Two Lifetime Warranty" repairs.
We are listening and we have heard you. After crunching the numbers again, and reviewing your feedback, we are happy to announce significant changes to our Tier Two Lifetime Warranty price structure.

We did not realize how much our valued customers appreciated and counted on this program. As well, we are currently pursuing a new service to our customers that would allow motors to be rebuilt, for a nominal fee, at our Olathe, KS facility. It will most likely be for endbell replacements due to bearing failures. We will post additional details as soon as available.

The new Tier Two prices are posted to the Repair Center - and we thank you again for the feedback!

Now that is costumer service!

Quick question, do you have, or can you get me a good endbell for a Castle 1717, or the Traxxas Big Block brushless motor?
