I ran a 6S in my T3 (less torque but i gear low to compensate - it absolutely flew)

You would have less RPM but you could gear up to compensate.

RC10GT spurs (32 pitch) should fit - but the 9L would be a great choice if you can gear it high enough.

If not, an S series would be a good choice - the 6S pulls an an insane ammount of current but a 7 or 8S would be great - especially on 8 cells :)

My MIP CVDs work fine on the 6S and on the 5300 thats in there at the moment - no problems there at all :)
