Why did you deside to sell it? I was thinking of converting mine.

Actually, it was never mine, i converted it for Gerben, actually, he was the one that introduced me to rc-monster.

He owned it for about 1 month, and then another guy from Holland bought it from him.. He wrecked a few cvd's on it, so i guess the power is quite something.

IT IS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *maniacal and evil laughter*

Well I couldn't decide which system exactly to get for the truck so I took the 10l/9918 out of my savage and hooked it all up today. I got two quick runs in before it was just too dark.

After adjusting the spacing between the pinion gear and spur to get rid of the sparking (yikes) It straight hauls. I had a hard time seeing it as it passed lighted and unlighted areas in the street. I was running it on 14 GP3300 they were not fully charged because I used them about half way last time I ran my savage.

It is the stock gearing and I believe a 12 tooth pinion, it's been awhile I will have to count teeth to make sure. The motor got a little hot at the end of the run but I could still hold the motor in my hand for about 5 to 7 seconds before it got HOT. I will probably work on the gearing some this weekend to see what I can do with it.

It doesn't wheelie off the line but it will spin the tires like it's nothing. The handling of the hellfire is unbelievable. It is the most responsive truck I have driven. I will have to try and get some pictures posted later tomorrow after work. If I can still use my old hosting site.

Thanks for all the help guys, it is a wicked truck.

BIG D

So what are you planning on putting on it? It sounds like could be a fun driver.

Peace!

I think I will just leave it with the set up I have now. I might get some 4300 to try in it and see how that works. I will work on putting some pictures up when I get off of work.

Get the IB4200s. They Hold there voltage better under load and will charge higher or just as high in mah. Voltage might be higher with the 4300s but thats actually kinda typical with cheaper cells thats voltage drops off under load.

What material is the motor mount? It looks pretty thin, and could break/bend. When I did a 1/8" thick mount from 6061 T6 aluminum, it bent from even the mildest jumps. 1/4" 6061 T6 aluminum did the trick.

SH Z-Car, Custom Crawler, 8s Savage, 12s XTM XLB 1/7 buggy, 4wd 4-link rear/IFS Pro4 truck, Custom Hyper 10 Short Course, Belt-Drive Mammoth ST 1/8 truggy, 4s 17.5 MM Pro HPI Blitz

It is made of graphite, it is twice the strength of steel so it should hold up. If not I can always make another one at work and just make it thicker.

It is really quick and has very good handling I'm gonna go take it to a construction site tonight and see how it does. I'll post how it goes.

Looks good, I wish my truck was running, I would be careful with the motor mount depending on the laminate it may flex and munch your spur, if you support the rear of the motor I think you are good to go. I am curious how much it weighs. I hope my truck just spins the tires like yours, I dont like wheelies. I love the hellfire bodies they look mean.

I weighed it and it weighed 10lbs. 15 oz. with batteries controller motor everything. It's pretty light.

I was driving it last night and I flipped it on the street, it rolled for a good 15 feet on the lid and where it came to a stop there was the rear center drive shaft just lying there beside it. ????? I had to take the center diff out to get it back in, I can't figure out how it came out. But that's the only incident I have had while running it.

nl12, Your not gonna have wheelies with a center diff unless the fluid is REALLY heavy.
