i know when promod did the david vs goliath thread he used an xl1600 and said that it heated up pretty quickly on 6s lipo

He had a tall gearing to. I am not shooting for his speed with it. I accually think I have lower voltage and gearing. I not sure. Has any one tried one of these xl1200 out.

What esc did you try on xl3100? I ran one on the mgm 12012 and it had no cog.

A bit higher KV would'n hurt Leroy..

Well I got to test it today. I didn't wait for the packs to charge fully.
Test packs are 3800 limn 2 x 3s packs
It was faster than expected. I was totally surprised with the speed.
I only got the batts charged to about 12.3 volts by charger before removal. I would gues maybe 3/4 charge. I ran about 40 mins on them before stopped for other problems. The lvc hadn't kicked in yet. The esc was cool 94 F. Motor was kind of warm. Didn't care much for that.
I tried second pack and stripped a spur gear. Had 32 pitch on it at the time. so not sure on total run time yet. Will have to test more later.
