Clean them with alcohol to see if the black stuff comes off. Maybe it was grease from the bearing?

They are burnt just a slightest. You can take a piece of sand papar to them. It will refresh them some. If you sand the metal slipper rings they will have better grip as well. Just a few tips I learned with alot of power.

thanks coolhand. i did scuff the rings up, so maybe it'll get a better grip. i'll run it today and let ya'll know. thanks, tally.
