burnt slipper pads? (pics)

Clean them with alcohol to see if the black stuff comes off. Maybe it was grease from the bearing?

i'll try it. i didn't realize how tight that nut and spring have to be.

They are burnt just a slightest. You can take a piece of sand papar to them. It will refresh them some. If you sand the metal slipper rings they will have better grip as well. Just a few tips I learned with alot of power.
