i want to convert my revo to electric and i was wondering do you guys get wheelies and good top speed?and i know it usualy depends on what gearing and cells and motor so what bl systems, batteries, gearing are you guys running?

motor: lehner 1950 8t
esc: bk 12020
batts: 6s pquest lipo
gearing: strobe slipper 51t spur/15t pinion (18t and 20t pinions on the way

right now with the 15t i can flip it on its lid from 0-30mph. it tops out between 40-45mph, so the gears on order should get me to 50mph or more. when you convert it, you will be really happy!

Yup, I have a E-Revo I converted before the G2R came out and I like it ALOT. I have a Feigao 10XL and Warrior 9920 on it running 14 cells at the moment and it runs around 40mph with plenty of torque. Mine does the same thing Tallys does. I can be cruising at about 25 or 30 and just nail it, it over it comes. Once you go brushless, you don't go back.... That much is for sure.

I just finished my conversion a couple weeks ago. Running the Quark Monster Pro 125 and a Feigao 540C 9XL on 4s and a 5s lipo setup and the g2r chassis. Same thing here, at 25-30mph I can punch it and flip it right over. I just put a wheelie bar on it to make it easier to keep down, it made a big difference. Now I can really get on it without flipping as easily. It can easily get to 45 :004: on the 5s batteries and I have it geared conservative. The 4s batts are more than enough power and speed. 5s is just for kicks, its almost undrivably fast on the 5s.

All I can say is do it. Just make sure you get steel cvd's and the steel idlers for the emaxx tranny if you use the emaxx tranny. I blew the stock idlers in 2 minutes the first time I ran it.

I had it out this afternoon at a local bashing spot and I had a whole group of people hanging around watching in amazement. They couldn't believe the power and speed. The nitro guys all wanted to drive it. :005: I had to quit running today when I blew the tires off of the rims!!!! :019:

In all honesty, cvd's aren't necessary for a Revo. The stock Revo sliders have survived everything I and numberous others have thrown at them. Idlers are however required.

I agree. Stock Revo sliders are quite a bit beefier than Emaxx sliders. The only time where dogbones are required is if there is limited clearance or they simply won't fit lengthwise. I had to get some made up special for my Revo conversion using a stock chassis and EMaxx tranny due to clearance issues.

i agree with squee, its totally worth it. it gives the truck an awesome look and the length helps keep it planted on the ground better, if there is such a thing! i run the stock sliders also, with no problems.

A 9920 or maybe a Quark 125 would be my choice depending on my budget.

I will be getting a Quark shortly, as for shafts the stock wheel shafts have held up well on my G2R, the chassis kit comes with steel dogbones for tranny to diff and they are strong
