wiring it all up - 06.07.2006, 12:52 AM

I have my 9920 on the way and want to try and understand the wiring of this thing. From the searching Ive done I think I want to wire my batteries in series. Do most wire the Emaxx in series :032: Im using 16 cells with a 9XL.

Is this considered wired in parallel or in series?

This diagram is a little bit different then the one that comes with the External BEC/UBEC, but Im assuming its the way to wire it all together, right :032:

That's series. You just connect the Ubec to the plus and min on the controller.

That is some fine drawing. It is close to the ubec diagram but you have two batteries instead of the one. Like rene said that is series.

Do most people wire the Emaxx in series?

Yes, about 99.9 percent.

Unless they run lipoly and want to increase runtime. than you use parallel and series. (that's what the P and the S stands for with these cells, for example 5S2P)

A brief note because it may help others. The rx lead (third wire) from the 9920 esc controller plugs ONE specific way into the receiver. I some how plugged mine in backwards and I had fits trying to track down the issue.
Hope this helps someone in the future :dft012:
