It's a matter of size due to energy density. Both nimh and lipo can fit a fixed amount of power in a fixed size.

Take IB (Intellect Battery) nimh, for instance. The standard sub-c size cell can hold 4200mah of power in that size cylinder. The 2/3A size cell is physically a smaller cylinder that will only hold 1200mah of the same power, simply because you can only fit a certain amount of power within a certain space.

If the Mini-T had the room to mount a sub-c size battery pack, you could definitely use 3300mah cells. It just lacks the physical space for it.

I know it's not the same truck but I've been running an 8cell in my 18T for about 3 months now. Not to say there is not going to be some issues but so far so good. Well except for that noisy diff.:005: Went from 27mph on the 6cell to 32mph on the 8cell.:027:
