Welcome to the forums, Dan! There are a couple folks on these forums with savage conversions that will be able to help you out. If you take a look in the picture gallery, there a re a few pictures there as well. Serum will no doubt find this post and shed some of his knowledge and experience for the Savage conversions. I would say the warrior controller is for sure the popular choice, as it is reliable, durable and reasonably priced. For the motor choice, there are a couple options that would work well. The 9L, is a popular chice for the e-maxx folks, but the 10L or 7XL may ultimately be the better choice for the Savage conversion, especially with the goals you have expressed (10L will get longer runtime than 9L with same batteries, gearing, etc., with slightly less speed). How many cells to you plane to use on the conversion? This will play a factor as well. Again, welcome to the forums!

Mike
