Lehner 4200XL - 07.08.2006, 02:02 PM

Hi everybody!
I had been given a Lehner 4200XL. What application is this motor good for?
1/10? 1/8? Sedan? Monster? On Road ? Off Road? Quantity of cells?
Thanks:037:

I'd say 6-8 cells (to keep rpms near 40k) and for lighter vehicles (on road cars, buggies, etc).

The Lehner 4200XL could be a good motor for a 4wd Losi buggy? Or better for a 2wd buggy or stadium truck?
Thanks:037:

PS The version of the motor is the XL not the basic one.

That would be a great motor for a Pede or Rusty however I think its to much for a XXX-4.

I would say it's actually okay with a XXX-4. I almost ran my basic XL4200 in my XXX-4, but I ran into a different problem - neither the BK nor the MGM controllers are small enough to mount anywhere in the XXX-4.
I don't know if the smaller quarks will fit, but I imagine the Mtroniks and the new Castle Creations Mamba Max ESC will fit the XXX-4 okay.
Both the older Novak SS controller and the GTB fit okay.

If you do get it in your XXX-4, consider the heavy duty belt upgrade and make sure you keep the belts tight.
