When I programmed mine, I followed the manual to the letter and I didn't have any problems. I read the instructions until I understood the steps so I wouldn't have to try to read it again between each step and possibly lose my spot.

To beep, it has to be hooked to the motor (since that is the part that beeps). Like the manual says, disconnect the drive train (pinion will do) so if you make a mistake and actually aren't in programming, the truck won't take off on you.

Make sure you bump the throttle to reverse as well. It seem to need that.

Peace!

The sky- tech... website has a video plus tips on selections available. I also read the instructions carefully understanding them before I started. I had no problems and ran it yesterday. I was happy w/ the performance

OK, still no reverse. Do i need to go and do the basic first, then the advanced? It seems like i do from what i read...sorry for all the dumb questions to those never had a problem. and honestly, i have read and read, and tried and tried, and iot seems like each step i get a little further, i have all programmed except the reverse, and it says - can't do unless you have step 3.2-1 completed or something like that, well that's in the basic programming and i'm trying to do jsut the advanced, so maybe do the basic first?

In the Mode selection for table3.2-1 If you notice there are 2 red dots shown in the table. I did this myself. You have to move the thorottle stick until the Quark has the last red dot showing and then press the program button, not the first red dot. That should put you in BRAKE/REVERSE. Hope this helps.
