This is a topic that gets brought up from time to time. One of the fastest was from a guy named Promod. I believe that his truck went past the 70mph mark. He had a video of it posted on another site along time ago, I'll see if I can find it. MetalMan had one of his close to 60mph if I'm not mistaken?

Most of the speeds that people will post are "My truck seems like it goes" or "It's probably around" or "I kept up with a car that was going XXmph":005:
Unless it is verified by radar or GPS, it's not accurate. Speed can be deceiving on small objects like these.

I've got a brushless MT2 that has been gps-verified at 60 mph, and that was from its first run with the current setup a few weeks ago. I crashed at the end of the run (ran into a ditch) and broke a front arm and shock and haven't gotten the truck fixed yet. I've been on vacation, but I hope to get her up and running again next week to see if I can get an even higher speed. Here's the current setup:

HPI MT2 18SS converted to brushless
Mtroniks Truck controller
Feigao 540c 9L motor
4s2p Emoli li-ion cells
Proline Masher 2000 tires
52/14 gearing

I've also got a Stampede that has gotten up to 57 mph with the same setup as above except for the motor (Feigao 540 12s) and gearing (81/24). I hope to hit 60 with this one as well after some tweaking.

The MT2 weighs 7.7 pounds with the M2K tires and 4s2p batteries onboard. With the stock Dirt Bonz, jr. tires, it weighs 7.2 pounds.

I think promod is one of the fastest.
He runs a 2240 on his. It is a few pics around on www.rcpics.net
I have run some fast numbers but none can be varified. :(
I am not done yet though.

Peace!

Time to let loose of all that money you are making on ebay and invest in a radar gun or something Leroy.:005:

Not yet I’ll do a full new post with videos and photos, I’m waiting on the mgm controller then I can finish the car. Its a very light car too so I’m tipping it to be very fast O and I’m waiting on a radar gun too to verify the runs. Hopefully a couple of weeks.
