I think you have enough punch :) so you can gear up a little....

The front end lifts rally easy on that thing... can you shift anything forward? It's cool to wheelie but you hardly get on it without pointing to the sky. ;)

Runs really good. Have you noticed any coasting/braking issues with the MGM?

I just watched the movies, looks pretty good, you sure you got a speedcontroller in it, and no on/off switch? LOL

With that lipo's you can get more power. you have got 2200 watts in your hands, those cells can deliver the power. What's your gearing?

What are the temps on your speedo/motor/batteries? I guess the batteries are stone-cold?

Hmm, i think i have stock e-maxx gearing, 18t/66t. I have many pinions for 1/8" shaft, but just one for 5mm shaft. Must order some from Mike.
Ecs is bout hand warm, motor 140-176F (that is bad thing, i say).

What u say, is LB5000XL better?
And which give more run time, 2100kv motor @ 16.8v, or 4200kv motor @ 8.4v?

That 5000 xl? it's way too hot.

2100kv on 16.8 delivers more runtime normally

The 7 turn XL is a good motor for 4s lipo in these cars.

Temps under 180 is not bad... so you are ok there. I don't like them over 150 but that's asking too much sometimes.

It's running good now, but 20/66 should be even better as long as esc temps stay good. Top speed will jump a few km/h and acceleration should still be stupid.

5000kv is too high unless you are going for speed records...

Others have used these (I haven't) yes they are very good motors. I think the longer 1940 series are better for the 1/8 trucks, most guys would say.

Just look at the kv rating to pick what you want... 2000-2500 kv tend to be the motors of choice, but it depends on what you want to do with it, battery choice, etc.

I'm looking motor for 8.4v pack, good runtime and nicely power....
Then run same motor @ 16.8v, just for fun and to broke my car =)

Not many motors will allow you to run double the voltage if it will even move on 2S. Go for a 4S setup. The 5000XL will get stupid hot in a car that large. A motor like that is more of a stadium truck motor.
