I like my 7i a lot, especially when coupled with the LBA6 or LBA10 (newer model) balancer. It can handle up to 5s lipo or 25 NiCD/NiMH cells, and even charges lead-acid batts. Max charge current is 7amps. Obviously, the balancer is only needed with lipos. A couple of things to note about the 7i:

- It has a 120w limit. This means that the battery voltage X the charge current will not go higher than 120. So, you can charge a 4s pack at 7A, but a 5s pack at "only" 5.7A (5s X 4.2v/cell X 5.7amps = 120watts).

- You'll need a 12v DC power supply capable of at least 150 watts (~13 amps).

- I recommend to shorten the input leads. They are about 5 feet long and not really big enough (gauge) for that length IMO. Shorten to about 1-2 feet.
