I have just mounted my G3 race suspension, but I am not sure that the pivots are screwed enough or too much into the a-arms.

Anybody have an idea of how to see this? I suppose the knuckles have to be vertical when you see from uppside? But when they are that, the cvd´s are having trouble turning.

If the cvd's are binding, you may have them in too far. What I did, was pulled the pillow balls until just a mm of space between the cup and the bone while the suspension was fully extended(rotate it so the t part of the bone is at bottom). Then i made sure the carriages were level as well. Adjust accordingly. This may take a few tries.

If you are running RPM arms then you are only supposed to thread the balls into the arms just far enough so that you do not see any threads. Do not thread them in untill they bottom out. That should be a good starting point.

he has the G3 suspension. And to clarify, it will be about almost all the way in for the bottom pillows, barely any threads showing, and the top maybe around one or two threads showing. But to stop binding, you need to adjust accordingly. Make sure that when your a-arms all all the way extended with NO pressure on them, the the bone part of the cvd is about 1-2 mm from hiting the back of the cup.

Have you done anything different with your turnbuckles? I have now installed the pivots like you wrote, but especially the rear wheels are turning inwards.

Is there a way you can take some pics? It sounds like your pillow balls are too far out still, but if your cvd's are not binding, then the pillow's should be set. Can you tell me what bulks you have? CVD's? Are you using the stock turnbuckles?
Also, by inwards, i'm assuming you mean the front end of the tire going towards the chassis right? Toed in?

I have found the solution. The pillow balls were too far in, and then I had tightened the screw in the knuckle too tight. Now everythings running straight and free. Thanks for your help guys.

I haven´t got to test it with the G3 yet, but with stock a-arms, big bores and 8 blue Trinity springs, it handles superb on pavement and on a kind of bumbing grassarea.

I have not had the time to go to a track yet, but I think it will do fine. I use the stock 35 wt. oil, that went with the big bores by the way.
