Twin Force Brushless - 05.04.2005, 10:50 PM

I would like to put a brushless system in my twin force, need some suggestions. I'm lookng for performance just a bit better than stock motors with evx esc, but with longer run time and no motor overhauls.

Thinking about:
Warrior 9918 Brushless Car Controller
Feigao brushless motor 540 8L

?

The 8L is more motor than you are looking for, actually. You will find the 10L is more along the lines of your description. The 8L will blow away the stockers, while the 10L will easily outperform the stock motors and provide longer runtimes than the 8L motor. The Lehner basicxl motors are also excellent motors for this application, such as the xl2400 or xl2800 for your performance desires.
Also, welcome to the forums!

How would this system with Feigao 540 10L Brushless motor
compare to Novak HV for racing? (In terms of driveablity and performance)

I race the Feigao/warrior combo or Lehner/Warrior combos. They are plenty driveable/raceable. If you plan on slow speed stuff, like rock crawling or similr stuff, the Novak may be a better option, but for anything above a crawl,, the warrior combos will outperform the Novak.

I have a 9L in my TF and run 14 cells, and I'm loving it. Fortunately got the gearing right, right from the start, so it never caused me any troubles.

There are no different spurs available for the TF, as far as I know.

It's a great RC, for what it is, and I sold my MadForce to get a BL TF. A good decision. Runtime is great, and power's plenty, even more than the nitro sibling.

I ran brushless on my twin force for a while. I kept breaking stuff. Mostly center dogbones due to the axle deflecting the suspension arms under acceleration. This caused the drive cups to pivot up and chew away at the center dogbones until they finally twisted in two. I also stripped the stock aluminum diff gears and replaced them with $100 worth of inferno steel gears and savage spiders. I also regularly bent the front drive shaft if I landed hard on the front axle. I got over it and my e-savage was born. The TF is going to be built into a crawler sometime.

Ahhh

Yes, no idea how that post passed by..

Did you get the 18.97 or where you still able to change it?

My savage is laying in pieces right now.. It might take some time though, got somethings to do before i can work on it.

I have the 18.97, but haven't opened it. I requested an exchange for a 9918 based on your and many others opinions.
