Are these Lipos good? -
10.05.2006, 07:52 PM
http://rclovers.com/EnerlandLipo2.htm
Im looking at the 5000mah packs.
Anyone know if these are any good. I was considering getting the EL5000XP-2S and the EL5000XP-3S for a 5s setup.
According to them, they are the exact cells that go into the evo20 packs. They are in Enerland packaging rather than flight power. SUpposed to be good for 100A constant with burst up to 200A.
Anyone tryed them?

Well, they are Enerland cells, the same as Hyperion/Polyquest/Poly RC/Flightpower/Tanic 5000mah 20C cont. cells, so they should work fine.

They are the exact same cells that go into the evo20 packs from flightpower, but they also cost about the same..
They might be the exact same cells, but are they connected as good as the flightpowers, and are they the same quality? it's the same with lipo cells as with nimh's, there are different grades in quality.
One cell isn't the other.
What i know about the flightpowers; there is allmost till non imbalance during the charge. this tells something, right?

Serum, I hear you on the overall pack quality vs just the cell quality. I talked to a guy who is ditributing these here in the US for Enerland. These packs are actually assembled in the Enerland factory in Korea where the cells are made. I am hoping that if they are making quality cells there, that they aren't skimping on the pack assembly quality either. I guess I'll find out.
Anyway, The price he quoted me was much cheaper than the price he has published on line, otherwise I agree w/ you and would have probably just ordered the evo20 packs that have a proven track record.
I am going to get a 2s and 3s 5000mah pack from him. He was out of stock on the 2s packs and is ordering them from korea for me so I probably won't see them for at least 2-3 weeks, but at around $100 cheaper for the pair than I see most places, I am going to give them a chance.

$235 +actual shipping, total for a 2s and 3s 5000mah pack combined. I told him that if they were good cells/packs, that I might ''know'' some others that might be iterested. He told me that he would hold that pricing for others also. Anyway. At this point he told me he would send me a paypal invoice when the 2s packs got here. He wasn't stocking the 2s here because most of his customer base are flyers and they wanted the 3,4,5s pack configurations.

I got mine when it first came out, and it was $70. Looks like they also changed the label on it!

I've got the version 1. Never could figure out what the difference was between the v1 and the v2.
Perhaps it's got something to do with their dash-board.

Why was I thinking that this was a $150 item????
For $64 there is no reason I should not have one already.

Eagle Tree does make other versions with more features that cost more. This is their lower-end model, but it works perfectly fine with RC cars (IMO).

Cool, i looked for it earlier but couldn't find it. I will check it again.
it's a must have imo. If you order one; get a temp-probe with it as well.
