3S Lipo trouble burned up ?? -

My 3S Lipo stopped working after a small jump in my B4 buggy. I tore it apart and found one of the connections to be burned out. The middle pack has the connection burned all the way. Can I open this pack and resolder? Is it safe to work on? Should I just use the 2 remaining good packs and make a 2S?

I just got done making a ugly homemade repair and it's working. Running 11+ volts and just ran the Emaxx up and down the driveway, it's much faster than dual 7.4 packs.
It probably won't last long but I guess I will milk it till it craters.
The dang metal they use to connect the cells is impossible to solder to. I don't know what it is. I had to just crimp everything together. It's making me a little nervous.

To solder those connections, you need to lightly sand the metal completely where you are going to solder. Then put some flux on it (I use Kester 44), then heat the metal with a good high watt soldering gun. Touch solder to it, and move the tip around in little circles till the area is plated in solder.
Then you solder it like a normal connection.
Remember, the key here is good flux and sand the connection before you start. You must be down to the parent metal.
