It sounds like your slipper is too loose, tighten it all the way so the spring is fully compressed and then tighten even harder. Be gentle when you pull out ease into the throttle. Get the plastic gears for the robinson. This will get you through until Mike gets the stobes in. This will almost be like having no slipper so it will most likely not slip and be hard on your drivetrain if you get on it hard or stay on the throttle while landing a jump. But it should be fine for speed runs.

They don't make a plastic spur for the MGT slipper.

If they don't make it how can I use it. And BTW why would they make it if it is no good.

metal spurs are fine for a nitro because it has a clutch that has some slip to it at low rpm and they do not produce the amount of instant torque as brushless motors.

BTW i think what Squee means, is to take the stock MGT slipper assembly with the stock MGT spur gear and use i t on your e-maxx transmission. I think.......

I was assuming you had an Emaxx slipper. Metal gears are much heavier, can cause electrical interference, are noisy, and as mentioned will wear quickly with your setup. Bottom line is there was probably nothing wrong with your original slipper, it was just setup too loose and or didn't have enough friction pegs installed (each hole on the slipper should have a friction peg instead of just a few).

I am using a EMaxx slipper. I have the strobe on order from Mike so I should have it by next week. I only need something for about that time. I'm sure it will be fine. Also, I had all the pegs in and the nut was very tight. I made it so tight it was like some people's wallets. Anyway, I am going to try everything posible to make metal to metal work until I get the strobe. I'll keep everyone posted until I get the strobe to see what happens.

Well I took a comparsion pic of springs. I thought I would share to with others. On right is mgt spring. On left is emaxx spring. You can plainly see the difference.
