Velo Rims - 11.09.2006, 10:14 AM

What are your opinons on 1/2 off set rims? I just got some that were sent to me. I ordered the standard though. I was wondering if I should return these or keep them.

I have MTR's on the way and do not feel like glueing the tires if these rims are no good.

Thanks guys!:mad:1 :mad:1

It really depends...I would probably go with 0 offset...Then again, this is coming form the person who has the exact same tires with 2 different offset rims...

thanks for the reply. So you run offsets? If I am going to be racing, would i want these rims? I have tried all day to contact the seller with no response. Getting a little irratated! Another example of why you shold go thru Mike, But I paid 8.00 less.

It all depends. Do you like it at its current width? I would choose 0 offsets...The only reason I have offsets is because a Walbash hits the tierod on my BPP LSP. Width wise its fine, but it his...Can't figure out how some run them....Anywho, those are 40 series, but still, I would probably go for 0 offset....Look at Papa's truck. He has offset Velocities on his with almost everything you have. Racer X, Dace, UE CVD's, etc...

I would love to, but cannot find that thread. One reason I don't is because I hear it puts pressure on the ends. The other is, don't you lose some steering with such a wide stance? Meaning, can't turn as sharp?
