Transponder Clone - 11.20.2006, 10:00 PM

Has anyone used this company to "clone" their AMB Transponder? Does it work properly?

I think you have to send you're old transponders and get the new ones in their place. There is a thread on rctech on their setup and there was a discussion on copying and it was said that it was illegal to have two of the same transponder, even if they were owned by the same person. but i hear they are better designed. Haven't tryed one yet

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Hey CCristo, you use the same name on ebay? If so, I bought a Gmaxx chassis off you recently.

You really sent your PTs to the UK???? How long does it take for them to make a clone and send it?

I like the idea, it sounds cool, but what's up with the one-page, no-pics website? And for $75 plus shipping it's cheaper to buy a new AMB PT. Seems odd....

I want a blue one anyway.... :)

crazyjr, yup that's me. Hope you are enjoying it.

There's a thread on rctech with much more information than the rclaps site. The cost of the transponders is $65 with free shipping, so it's cheaper than the AMB's. The added convenience of having the same number was well worth it for me, not to mention it's a much better transponder that has replaceable wires, works down to a lower voltage than the AMBs (good for my 4 cell 1/12 car) and it puts out maxx signal strength all the time.

It took about 3 weeks from the time I sent it to the time I received it back. Return shipping was less than a week.
