It's rated at 3s Lipo because the BEC can't handle more than that without cutting out because of overheating. With an external BEC Castle says it can handle 14 NiMh cells no problem, but this voids the warranty. So far, it has been pushed to 6s A123 and 5s Lipo, so it can handle quite a bit more than it's rated for :027:.

well, $#*! !!! I would prob have got the Mamba MAX instead of the Quark.

Well, i shouldn't say that, the Quark is one heck of a nice controller in a lot of ways. It's the lowest price for its current rating at 125 Amps. And the super smoooooothness, i love it. So, maybe i wouldn't buy it. ;)
