I think they get a lot more range (not sure but i think i read in the RC action that they can go like five football Fields long not sure though) but defiantly farther distance no crystals, no changing channels, small, and my favorite short antenna which usually means you only need a small antenna usually not even tall enough to come out of the body on a monster truck. My friend has a micro spektrum receiver and the antenna wire is 2 1/2 inches long. I am also converting to spektrum. The sown side is model memory but if your like me and only have like 5 cars and the other two are on different radios it all good.

If model memory is the hinge pin for you, just buy a higher end radio with more model memory and then get a Spektrum module for it. Not as cheap, but it get you you high end radio features and the spektrum benefits. Thats what I am doing. I have a M11 w/ Spektrum Module.

That's what the Nomadio radios are for :027:.
