Yes, that is a valid point. If you've been running your vehicle for a number of cycles and then plan to upgrade to 6s total, you shouldn't simply replace the 2s with another 3s since the "old" 3s will have more cycles on it. The importance of this becomes more apparent as you put more and more cycles on the old pack.
