Nice find! Should be useful for those looking to do some high voltage projects (CHC).

Good job Shayne. I wonder if these would work in a normal application?

I wonder if mike would be interesed in stocking these.
I wonder if they may be better than the koolflight.
Has any one tested one of these?

But leroy, how much better could they be? And id like to know someone that would exceed 40V on the koolflight (10S lipo). This may be ok for the Baja 5B's and other huge projects, but they wouldnt sell too well. I wonder how much they cost.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

10s lipo is 42 volts. So I think maxx is a 9s lipo unless get the 45 volt model.

Looks like 40 bucks us.
Not bad.
It has an on and off switch built on as well.
That could go good or bad.

I like it. Loks like a nice compact design and sure sounds like it can handle some power. I also like the fact that there is a switch on it.

The Koolflights work great, but they are BIG. I have found a number of other external BECs that work just as well are smaller and are cheaper. I think when Koolflight came out they were the first, but the rest of the world has caught up and passed them and they are still selling the same BEC for the same price. Many of the other smaller sheaper ones are only 28 or 36V max input, but in reality for car/truck applications there are few that will need more than that.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...
