Yea a stock 3.3 is really fast.

It will probably still go like 40mph even with the motor shut off :p

Edit: Wouldn't a MM5700 on 3S propel it to at least like 65? I've heard of people getting like 40 on just 2S with a 4600...

LOL. Even with the motor shut off? lol. You sound like a Nitro-head. :005:

The 5700 on 3s is about the same speed as the 4600 on 4s. Either one will run kinda hot I would think. I did run 14 GP cells in my Jato "just to see" and blew the rims on both sides (probably from the tires ballooning so much). I can't even begin to guess how fast it was but it was screaming and made the previous top speed of ~45mph seem like a turtle. :)

it goes like 67 plus he has the resignator that is more for top end rather than acceleration like the stock 3.3 comes with in rc car action they tested it at 67 and his is jsut a tad faster and it is lighter so i rounded it up so it is really like 78.9 or 79. something not that big of a difference

My Jato is a 3.3 and it flies... probably like 65ish. The problem I was having was about 45+ the front end gets lifted by the wind so I adjusted some things around and also put a wing on the back to try to maintain stability and increase downpressure (adjustable wing), plus softer springs/shocks. I moved the battery pack to the middle of the truck as well.

Ill post my E Revo and the project progresses. Thanks guys.

Heres a couple of pics of the Jato.

10mph is a huge difference...

The Resonator adds power, but not THAT much...I have a Resonator on my Jato. It helped, but didn't help 10mph....

Well, how do you know how your buddy's Jato compares to RCCA's Jato?

My only point is that you seem to be estimating the speed, and exagerating it at the same time (not saying you that you definitely are, but it seems so very much).

Its very easy to tell when someone may be doing this, because they say "like this fast" or "like that fast" and the speed is never consistent, and it just gets lower and lower the more it is questioned.

That a good looking Jato Larain...looks really clean - which is a good thing since it means you haven't flipped it - can't say the same for myself...the thing lifts the front end so fast sometimes I can't let off in time.

i ment in rcca they tested a stock 3.3 jato at 67mph and my friends is a tad faster and much lighter and it contains one of two resignator pipes one helps more on top end the other on acceleration so he has the one for top end so at the most he is getting about 4 more mph out of the car than the stock 3.3 is clocked at. so sorry that was a typo.

Yea...a proper BL system will rocket a Jato to 100mph easy if you can keep it on the ground. This is because the Jato's layout allows you to mount just about any motor you want. Get a super low KV Lehner 1950 and run 12S lipo with the Castle Creations Pheonix HV125 ESC and run the stock mechanical brake (since the ESC doesn't have brakes) and you got yourself one FAST Jato.

As for the Resonator Pipes. One doesn't just increase acceleration and the other top end, they both just boost power in different ranges. This power boost translates into different running characteristics. The Dual Chamber increase mid to high power, while the Single Chamber increases low end grunt.

His Jato is most likely faster than a stock one, but I dont think you can accurately guess its speed. You need a radar gun.

Speaking of a radar gun, you can get a Bushnell one for less than 100 bucks off ebay.
