Lipo and 18.97 question..... - 01.31.2007, 07:13 PM

What lipo's would you recommend for the 18.97? I run a 9L and 9xl with it. I also will be getting my 9920 back soon. These combos will be run in my savage and revo. I'd like to be able to switch back and forth. I've been running the 18.97 on 18 gp3300 cells but am ready to make the switch. I'd like to get two 3 or 4000mah packs. I just don't know how many lipo cells the 18.97 can do. Was hoping someone running this esc could shed a little light for me.

2 3s2p 8000mah packs in series would be a very good combo. Just dont forgot a lvc, the one in mikes store is very nice.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I'll be ordering from Mike when I buy them. So a 3s will work good for me?Would 4s be too much?

Do you mean 2 4s packs? thats 8s! That is a bit much for that shulcze controller. 6s is plenty.

I was thinkin of the 4s for the voltage. I want to get 2 packs just not to run at the same time or if so it would be in parallel for runtime. That's why I was thinking of 2 3000mah packs.
