Hey Glass.....if you can still make me one that would be cool.

Im gonna have Mike make me one out of aluminum too. I think i figured out exactly what im going to run:

NEU 1515 motor
Quark Monster Pro 125B ESC
MaxAmps Lipoly 8000mah 2S2P 7.4V Pack

Once i get a motor mount i can start buying everything.

James, I would go for at least a 5S setup for a truggy. I'm gonna run 6S in my BPP LSP-R.

With right gearing squee it be fine. 6s may be much for racing. The control will be harder to handle.
You going to go with the 2200 kv 1515? I think that is what Mike has on 4s.

Peace!

Im pretty new to Lipo....5S is 5 cell?

So the one im looking at is a 2 cell pack in paraell? what does that mean compared to a 2 cell pack in series?

This is the pack:
http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...S2P8000&cat=18

A local guy was running this on his Fine Designs Truggy and it was ripping. Will this be enough to power the esc and motor? I want something that isnt going to overheat. I plan on mounting a small fan to keep things cool too.

Coolhand- How do i know which motor is the 2200 kv 1515? What is 1515 1y/F or 1515 2.5d/F? Im not really understanding the difference.

Thanks for the help and sorry to jack your thread Glass :)

Guys feel free to post the replys to this post in my thread here:

The pack you got is 2s 2p. It has 4 x 4000 mah cells in the pack. 2 series which = higher voltage. 3.7 per cell x 2 for 7.4 volts It has 2 parreall which = 4000 mah x 2 for 8000.

Peace!

Bump . . .

Any more updates or pics on this? Kind of seems like it faded away. Are you still running the Neu 1512? Is the Mamba esc holding up? Any video?

Thanks!

I jumped it about 10' in the air on a x-games style snow jump in my back yard the other day :) I actually planned to get it on video but I didn't have anyone to hold the camera... maybe next time.

I will try to get some more pics etc of my cars on here. I haven't been running them though so I don't think about it.

I have the 1515 2.5D in it, and 4s 12000mah maxamps lipos.

It has a MM in it still, but I'm thinking about testing with my Mtroniks while we are waiting for a software update from CC. It runs with the MM, but it has a start-up cogging pretty bad every so often.

Hey, thanks for the updates glassdoctor! Yeah, please post some more pics when you get time. So did you also put the LSP diff gears in the front and rear too? Did you consider any other conversions (1/8 truggy) & if so, why did you choose the CRT? Sorry for so many questions, but I'm trying to get as much info as possible before I start my conversion. I'm hoping to start it within the next month. Thanks.

No LSP gears... the truck is stock except the plastic center gear. Well, and lack of nitro. :)

I chose the Jammin because it is (or was) the best truggy, period. They are popular at the track. They are tough, and they are fast... and parts are cheaper than many brands too, not that you probably need any.

Most truggies should convert exactly the same as my CRT.... most 1/8 are copycats.

Now I might look at the Losi 8T... it would be pretty sweet. But the design/layout would be different.

Nice, thanks. I've looked at the 8ight T too, but not sure the added cost since it's new is going to be a value over the CRT. I owned a nitro RTR CRT and loved it except for the nitro part. Now I have a brushless Lightning Stadium 10 that's awesome, but I want 1/8 scale. So I'm going to sell it and do a conversion. Here's what I've come up with so far:

Kyosho 777 - Nice, but little support, no experience with one
Mugen MBX5T - My 2nd choice, but no experience with one, more expensive, narrower chassis
LSP-R - Great value, but performance is lacking vs CRT
CRT-Pro - So far, it's the winner for me.

I'm thinking about running the Quark 125 and the Neu 1515. That's about as far as I've gotten. Heard about running the LSP gears, but not sure I need to. Not sure about the lipo yet either.
