Xray T2 700 -
02.06.2007, 04:04 AM
I was thinking about getting me a Xray and what brushless motors and esc do you guys recommend for an all out speed and power?
I was thinking about the Plettenberg Shadow, but any other suggestions?
I have been out of it for a while so I have no idea on the new developments and etc.
Thanks in advance.

Xray sedan?
There's a bunch of choices to make a silly fast touring car.
It's hard not to mention the obvious... Mamba Max. Motor choice according to the #cells you will be running.
The plettys are nice no doubt... not too many of us have them to comment on.
What exactly do you want to do with the car?

I just thought I would complement my XRAY M18 with a 1/10 scale so between the 1/18 and the 1/5 scale I have on hold, it would be something to play with and more manageable in costs than a 1/5. Yeah Only thing I have done with my 1/5 is getting a custom body which I really have to say is Sweet. I do have some pics somewhere.
Anyhow.
Well I am going Lipo on this one for sure like my 1/18 scale depending on what motor I get.
What I want to do hmmm... Be Quick and Fast.. LOL..
I have the need to speed!!!
Actually just a good solid runner/performer with speed and power as well.

MambaMax 5700 on 3s lipo is a cheap easy really fast setup... or the new MM 6900 on 3s, even faster.
There are a bunch of other motor/esc choices but I don't see doing anything else much better and certainly not cheaper.

Or a 1920 6T would be amazing.
The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL

I remember (hee hee I think) a guy who ran a 1920 in a Super RS4... it was really fast, something lke 60+. I don't recall anything about the batteries, lol,or esc...
That was probably on radiocontrolzone a couple years ago...

I would go with the Mamba Max ESC and a Plettenberg motor on 3S LiPo.

Well, the new ones can.
My recommendation is:
1920/4+ Team Tekin R1 Pro controller+ TrakPower 4900mah 2s1p lipo batteries
The name is Alawi. You can call me Al.
Nice to meet you!
