I ordered the MM and 8XL from Mike, so I don't anticipate any problems there. My buddy, well Tommy, spent the evening working the bugs out. While we were working on his buggy last night, I was reminded that Losi owns Sportwerks (I think they still do), when we discovered that his diffs are the same as mine. We were able to take a Kyosho spur, that I modified for my Turmoil, and drop it into the 8ight. Once the motor and esc get here, we'll be rolling.

I'm hoping to be able to shoot some video and show you guys something that I don't think you've seen a lot of. Two brushless buggies on the same track at the same time. :)

That would be awesome to see two brushless buggies in action, erspecially in dirt. I am in the process of converting a buggy as well, so I would love to see some in action.

Can't wait!! lol

Could this be a historical first!?!?!?!?

Convince a few more to convert and you could have the fist track that has an electric 1/8 buggy class.

Just dont let CF take any credit for it.:005:

jhautz,

It's funny that you would say that. Tommy is still PO'd about the whole thing. He says that when we're finished with the conversion, he wants to take a close up pic of the mount, etc. and send it to CF with a note telling him that "this" is what a conversion is supposed to look like.

I will try to make it a point to shoot some video. I'm just not sure that my picture host does video. I'll have to see.

I just looked at the CF Losi conversion on his website. It looks like the Motor Battery and speed controll are all cramed on one side of the chassis. That cant be even close to balanced.

Certainly doesnt look very good to me.

So you get a $180 esc a $90 motor and a 3s lipo pack and some crappy looking mounting hardware for the motor and lipo for $535 dollars. What a deal....:002: I guess if you dont know any better it sounds OK.

I'll check those hosts out. My camera shoots in MPEG and records to compactflash, so getting it uploaded won't be a big deal.

As far as the CF kit goes, I just have a hard time accepting the fact that he can, in all good conscience, take money from people for that "kit."

AAngel,

I have sportwerks buggy as well. I believe you said the kyosho plastic spur will work? Is this correct?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, as an experienced user you see that. However, people new to BL see a drop-in system without having to know how it works or the many factors to put together a reliable system that doesn't overheat. Unfortunately, they only realize the mistake after the fact.

Word of mouth is very powerful, I'm sure it won't last long, but then again, there are always first timers to be had! Which is a sad thing!
