XXX-T/Mamba 5700/3s Lipo Speed Run Results - 02.18.2007, 06:22 PM

I made a couple of speed passes today with my XXX-T/Mamba 5700/3s2p lipo. Highest Speed 57.3mph, geared 19/86, this was my biggest pinion I have. I am sure that there is more in it but I will have to get a couple of larger pinions and find a longer street to test in. This thing is just CRAZY!

This is also in a stadium truck, and form the loks of it, has some pretty beefy tires adding quite a bit of weight. Imagien it in a carbon fiber street car? lol It'll be hittign over 65mph. That is still awesome none-the-less. Is the battery you are using from Max Amps?

Yes the battery is a MaxAmps 3s2p 6000mah pack. The tires are Masher 2ks and agreeably not the best for a speed run. I just wanted to see what I it would do. I know that there is a lot left in it even in this truck. I could probably pull a 22-23t pinion and mess with the settings on the Mamba to really max it out. I may attempt to get it over 60mph and call it quits.

Good to see someone with a setup like this... that's NOT using a rusty :005:

But you do have the big tires which seems all too common :005:

Just teasing... really you need to grab a couple bigger pinions and get that thing over 60! :004:

What kind of run times are you getting with this set up?

Did you have to use the tape trick on the tires to keep them from flying off the rims?

I get about 30-35 min of run time geared 14/86. I normally give it a break after about 20 min and let everything cool down. I did use the tape trick before mounting the tires to the wheels. I ran a strip of Gorilla tape around the inside and it does a good job of keeping them from ballooning. I am sure that this setup would be much faster in a carbon fiber street car. But then I would not be able to jump it off everything and ride block long wheelies.
