Look at a nissan VK56, I believe they have a similar system to the VQ/ QR (with 16 runners). And I believe a lot of toyotas V8s use a similar set up. I know secondary injectors are somewhat common, but theyre pretty much a domestic and early 90s turbocharged japanese engine thing. I know the original RX7 turbos used secondary injectors, and I believe older turbo supras and all trac celicas did the same. Secondary injectors are typically used as a band aid for poor tuning/ fuel metering, since the big injectors required to feed a big v8/ powerful boosted engine nearing its redline didnt have the precision to control the idle mixture very well. Modern injectors are capable of much smaller pulse widths, so now I think even the domestics are moving away from the double injector thing.
I know you said "think", my only point was you disagreed with what I said and you were a little misguided. If you "knew" that dual runner manifolds didnt exist, I wouldnt have even attempted to explain this to you. Sorry if my first post came across a little rude.
