Feigao/MM wiring connectors

I am trying to wire the MM controller to the feigao 8xl. What size bullet connectors come on the MM, it doesnt say in the manual but they look like 4mm? What do ya'll suggest i use as connectors between the motor and MM, bullet (what size) or deans, for the other batter connections as well? I am wiring two 2s2p packs in series to get 14.8 volts, so I will have a total of three connections between the two batteries and the ESC. I am putting this on a LSP. Thanks.

For batteries, use Deans or Powerpoles. The MM uses 4mm connections, but the feigao uses 5.5mm IIRC. So, it's a matter of preference really, but the 5.5mm connectors have a more solid contact surface. Some people have had less cogging issues by either direct soldering the motor wires or using the 5.5mm connectors.

The feigao's don't come with plugs; the BK wanderers come with 5.5mm plugs.

My advice is to ditch the plug and make it a direct solder. This can be done by using two 4mm female plugs and solder the wires in both ends. (you can make them shorter with a dremel)

The mamba uses 4mm plugs.

Oops, sorry about that. I was under the impression that the Feigaos came the same way as the Wanderers. My bad.

Serum, do you mean two 4mm female connectors for each wire, or one per wire? Each female connector has two female ends, so if you mean one female connector for each of the three wires i understand, otherwise i don't.

Yes, so i just take the original heatshrink off, solder the wires from the motor into the female plugs already installed on the MM, then re-heatshrink. Any advice on which color wires to put together, or does it even matter with sensorless motors? Dang these motor leads are huge, they must be like 8 gauge.:028:

If you direct solder, you might want to make sure your motor spins in the right direction. If it spins the wrong way, swap two of the wires. Once you have it right, then you can solder them permanently and heatshrink it.

Oh, and instead of using the 4mm connectors as a direct solder solution, you might want to try these instead. Just cut the plastic jacket off the inside connector and solder the wires in each end (don't crimp). They're cheaper and fit the wire better so there is less solder needed. Either way works though.

I thought you could reverse via the PC interface but I just plugged in my MM controller and a CC phoenix airplane controller and the reverse option only exists in the phoenix airplane controller.:024:
I think that would be easy enough to add and wonder why they don't already have it in place ??
