The distance between the pillow balls would only affect roll center, so it shouldn't have a noticeable impact on handling (if the pillow balls are farther apart, it would have the effect of a thin sway bar). I have had the pillow balls pull through the revo steering blocks a few times (before I switched to aluminum knuckles), but the same thing happens with the maxx knuckles on occasion(though not seemingly as easy).
