Novak is easiest, as it's drop in... and uses standard 1/8" pinions.

Most other brushless motors suited for a maxx use 5mm pinions...

But there are a few out there with 1/8 shafts like the Lehner Basic XLs... which would be much better than a Novak when paired with a MambaMax, for about the same price.

And you CAN get 32p pinions to fit the Feigao etc 5mmm motors.

So I would recomend a Feigao L or XL and a MM for under $250

No fabbing needs to be done with the 'non-novak' systems... the unused motor hole is just covered up with tape, etc.
