E-Maxx susp/binding help - 03.16.2007, 09:55 PM

ok, so its been a few years since ive ran the ol' emaxx and i cant remember how to properly set up the a-arms and pillow balls. I have the pro-line suspension, which i guess is discontinued now.. and also some mip extend driveshafts. At first, my problems was that when the wheels were turned, the driveshafts would get caught in the ...(turnbuckle? blue anodized thing where the tie rods connect to) and cause the wheel not to spin. I first remedy this by screwing the pillowballs farther into the a-arms, because there was some thread showing. Howerever the problem is still there, just not as often. The only way for me to prevent the binding this far is to lighten up the camber settings, but the the wheels become very sloppy and lose. There must be a solution to this problem and i just cant see it. Maybe am i just missunder standing how the adjustments are made on this truck. I can't remember everything.. someone want to help me? thanks everyone...

Can you get pictures? That would make it alot easier to diagnos the problem.

Here are some pictures, i hope you can get the general idea. If you need anymore pictures i can get them.

WIth this second pic, i can fix the wheel and make it straight but that just makes the problem in the above picture worse.

I would take a dremel and solve the problem of the MIP shaft rubbing against the GPM knuckle.

Are your pillowball retainers too tight by any change?

Screwing those pivot ball in all the way is what screwed up your alignment.

I would file or grind some material from the knukles around the drive shaft.

Yeah i would unscrew the pillow ball a bit, till you see a bit of the pillow ball screw.
