I'm not sure. I wouldn't think so; it's not like you're modding the circuit or anything, but you never know. I'd find out about the warranty first. If it is expired, then you have nothing to lose.

Well, I know this thread is from a long time ago, but I never replied again and I'm starting to get interested in fixing it again. Well I opened up the heatshrink and found that one of the black square box things was cracked. it's a little circuitry thing, I really dont know what its called, but whatever. Is there anyway to fix this?

LOL, well one of the "black square box things" could be a few things. Do you have a pic?

If a component on the board is cracked and thats all that is wrong I'm sure BK can fix it. But you will need to send it in, and BK isnt exactly known for fast service.

If you are going to send it in for repair, you might consider buying a new one to get you up and running while the other is repaired. Then when the fixed one comes back you can sell it on ebay to recover some of your cash.

What kind of batteries and how many cells are you running? The mamba Max might be a very nice option at $140.

I can't decide if its more fun

They will fix it.... But they will likely charge for the repair. Its probably not going to be under warantee if you bought it used.
